Coaching
Each of us, at different times in our lives, experiences transition—a place where we find ourselves between the old and the new, who we once were and who we are becoming, the known and the unknown. Whether you are transitioning to a new leadership role, a new job or career, or a new way of life, you are likely to experience the ups and downs of being excited and energized as well as lost and uncertain.
Coaching can help you find your compass point. Through coaching, you’re able to maximize the opportunity to assess your priorities and talents and explore the self—your passion and life purpose. Begin tapping into your source of power and turn challenges and possibilities into success and fulfillment.
Why Coaching
You’ve come to the realization that something needs to change in order to make progress in your personal or professional life. Perhaps it’s learning to improve your interpersonal effectiveness as a leader. Maybe it’s that you’re bored, have outgrown your current job, and want something different. You might be looking at what’s next for you as you’re anticipating life after full-time employment. Or, perhaps you want to cultivate healthier practices in your life or achieve better life balance and can’t seem to get motivated.
If you see yourself in these or similar scenarios, coaching can help you:
- Develop clarity around your values, purpose, and goals
- Identify your strengths and opportunities
- Cultivate self-awareness in order to choose what is right for you
- Notice the ways in which you impede your progress
- Strengthen your commitments to achieve your goals
- Create strategies and practices for navigating and sustaining change
- Take ownership and a sense of accountability toward your commitments
About Coaching
Coaching is a learning partnership in which coach and client engage in a creative process to support the client in developing greater resourcefulness, building new competencies, and achieving personal and professional potential with more balance and fulfillment.
An effective coach will work with you to define specific and measurable outcomes for success. Once these are established, they become the focus for the coaching. The engagement usually lasts between three to six months, meeting two to three times per month. If new challenges and goals present themselves, you and your coach can enter into a new conversation of whether and how you will continue to work beyond the originally agreed upon time.
In coaching, you will:
- Receive candid and objective feedback through observation and assessments
- Clearly define your vision for the future and your values
- Examine limiting behaviors and beliefs systems through inquiry
- Shift perspectives to open up possibilities
- Create action plans with accountability structures for following through
- Train yourself to embody your commitments, goals, and values
